2014 Hall of Fame Inductee

As President, Ms. Schmidt is responsible for providing and overseeing the resources necessary for accomplishing the planning, design, preconstruction and construction services on every project. She is charged with setting up measurable standards of performance and measuring that performance against established goals. She has managed employee teams working on projects ranging from a few hundred thousand to over $100 Million. Stephanie is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering. She began her construction career working for a large, national construction management company. Prior to joining Poole Anderson, Stephanie worked for Penn State University where she coordinated and controlled the design and construction of new, renovation and major maintenance projects for academic and administrative units. Stephanie has strong ties to her community and a strong belief in giving back to the community where she lives and works. To that end, she is on the National Board of Directors of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), is the past Chairperson of the ABC Central PA Chapter, and has served on the Executive Committees of the Centre County Chamber of Business & Industry, and the State College Area YMCA. She also serves on the Advisory Statewide Council of General Contractors. In the past, she has served on the Board of Directors of the Centre County Airport Authority, as an Instructor at the Pennsylvania State University School of Architecture, Chairman of the State College Area School District Facilities Advisory Committee, and member of the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association. With over 31 years in the construction industry, Stephanie has extensive experience in all project delivery methods and their management. As a result of her experience and ability to convey those experiences to others, Stephanie is an invited Focus Group Leader for The Jack Miller Network. This elite organization of construction industry firms throughout the U.S. and Canada is the largest of its kind that meets annually solely for the purpose of improving and growing their construction businesses. Stephanie leads focus groups on the subjects of Project Delivery Methods, Avoiding Conflict Over Change Orders, Networking, and Leadership and Communication Skills for Women in Construction.
